Day 1
Getting to Know Beijing
- Arrival in Beijing. Meeting at the airport.
- Group transfer to a 4* hotel, check-in after 12:00.
- Free time for relaxation or independent exploration of the city.
DAY 2
Heart of the Empire: Tiananmen, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Tour of Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world.
- Visit the Forbidden City Gugong, the former imperial winter palace where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived.
- Lunch is the famous Peking duck.
- Visit to the Temple of Heaven - a cult complex for sacrifices to the God of Heaven.
- Return to the hotel, free time.
Day 3
The Great Wall and Moving to Shanghai
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- A tour of the Great Wall of China is one of the wonders of the world.
- Lunch at a restaurant outside the city.
- Visit to a pearl factory - get acquainted with the art of pearl growing.
- A walk through the Yiheyuan Summer Garden, the largest and most ancient garden and park complex.
- External inspection of the Beijing 2008 and 2022 Olympic venues: the Nest, Water Cube and Ice Ribbon stadiums.
- Return to the hotel, packing up.
- Transfer to the station.
- Transfer to Shanghai by high-speed train (about 5.5 hours, soft seats).
- Meeting in Shanghai, transfer to the hotel, accommodation.
DAY 4
Gardens, shrines and lights of modern Shanghai
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- A guided lunch tour of Yuyuan Garden of Joy, a masterpiece of classical Chinese garden art.
- Visit to the Temple of the Jade Buddha (1882) - the keeper of ancient relics.
- An exterior view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the modern Pudong district.
- Stroll along Wai Tan Promenade and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the center of shopping and entertainment.
- Return to the hotel.
- Optional evening program (additional charge): Huangpu River cruise or visit to Shanghai Circus ($50 per person).
day 5
The Charm of the Ancient Water City of Tongli
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Lunch tour to Tongli, an ancient water town over 1000 years old.
- You will see beautifully preserved architecture: private gardens, temples and traditional residential buildings.
- Walk along picturesque stone bridges and narrow streets.
- Visit to the unique Museum of Sex.
- Take a boat ride along the picturesque canals of Tongli to experience the atmosphere of the ancient city.
- Return to Shanghai, check in at the hotel.
Day 6
Free day in Shanghai and departure
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time for last minute walks and shopping.
- Transfer to the airport for departure from Shanghai.
