Сафари в парке Кабарсено (Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno): встреча с дикой природой в сердце Испании

Safari in Cabárceno Park (Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno): encounter with wildlife in the heart of Spain

The Cabárceno Nature Park is not a traditional zoo. It is a huge area of 750 hectares where animals live in a semi-free environment, as close to their natural environment as possible. Situated just 17 km from the city of Santander, in the Cantabria region, the park has transformed a former iron ore mine into a real nature reserve.

The park features over 120 species of animals from all continents: lions, tigers, rhinos, elephants, gorillas, giraffes, bears, wolves, bison and many others. An extensive network of roads over 20 km long allows you to explore the park by car, bus or bicycle.

Particularly popular is the modern cable car, which offers panoramic views of the park and the animals in their spacious enclosures. It is an ideal place for photography and slow observation of wildlife.

A unique safari experience

In addition to independent walks, Cabarceno also offers organized excursions, such as Wild Visit, during which you can observe animals close-up, take a look behind the scenes at the veterinary service, and even take part in feeding some species.

The territory hosts daily sea lion shows and flights of birds of prey. There are play areas, master classes and interactive exhibits for children.

Nature Conservation Center

The park actively participates in programs to protect rare and endangered species. Elephants, Amur tigers, leopards, bears and other animals successfully reproduce in the conditions of Kabarceno. Scientists conduct research here aimed at preserving biodiversity and maintaining animal health.

The park is a member of European zoological associations and cooperates with universities and conservation organizations.
