Day 1
Getting to Know Beijing
- Arrival in Beijing. Meeting at the airport and group transfer to a 4* hotel. Check-in after 12:00.
- Free time to rest and adapt after the flight.
DAY 2
Heart of the Empire: Tiananmen, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- The excursion program begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square , the largest city square in the world and a symbol of China.
- Next is the Forbidden City (Gugong) , the imperial winter palace where 24 rulers of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived over the centuries.
- Lunch with tasting of the legendary Peking duck .
- Afterwards, visit the Temple of Heaven , a grand architectural complex for sacrifices to the God of Heaven.
- The day will end with a traditional tea ceremony , where you will learn the secrets of making Chinese tea.
- Return to the hotel.
Day 3
The Great Wall and Moving to Shanghai
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Excursion to the Great Wall of China - one of the seven wonders of the world and a symbol of ancient China.
- Lunch at a restaurant outside the city.
- Visit to the Yiheyuan Summer Garden , the largest and oldest garden and park complex in the country.
- Next, an external inspection of the iconic facilities of the 2008 and 2022 Olympics: the Bird's Nest , Water Cube and Ice Ribbon stadiums.
- Return to the hotel.
- Transfer to the station and travel to Shanghai by high-speed train (approx. 5.5 hours, soft seat).
- Meeting in Shanghai, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 4
Shanghai: Contrast of Tradition and Futurism
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Excursion with lunch: Yuyuan Garden of Joy , a gem of Chinese landscape art, and the Jade Buddha Temple (1882) with valuable relics.
- An external view of the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the modern Pudong district.
- Stroll along the Bund and the bustling Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.
- Return to the hotel.
- In the evening - additional program for an extra charge: cruise on the Huangpu River or a visit to the Shanghai Circus (50 USD per person).
day 5
Shanghai Venice: Zhujiajiao
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Lunch tour to Zhujiajiao , a picturesque water town known as the "Venice of Shanghai". With a history of over 1,700 years, it still carefully preserves the atmosphere of ancient China. Narrow streets, arched bridges, traditional houses and the leisurely life on the banks of the canals create a wonderful sense of peace and harmony.
- Boat ride along the scenic waterways. Return to Shanghai.
Day 6
Free day in Shanghai and departure
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time for walking, shopping or relaxation.
- Transfer to the airport and departure from Shanghai.
