Postiguet Beach in Alicante confirms once again the "Q" mark of quality for tourism services

Q flag for service quality officially raised: beach retains prestigious certification from 2021

Postiguet Beach in central Alicante has once again confirmed its high quality: the "Q" tourist mark now officially flies over the sandy shore. The ceremony took place on Tuesday with the participation of Ana Poque , tourism adviser, and Miguel Mirones , president of the Institute of Quality and Sustainable Tourism of Spain (ICTES) .

“This is confirmation of the high level of service, safety and cleanliness offered by one of the most visited city beaches in the country,” noted Ana Poque.

What does the "Q" quality flag mean?

The Q de Calidad Turística flag is more than just a symbol. It:

• based on the international standard UNE-ISO 13009
• issued only after strict audits by independent experts
• confirms the beach's compliance with the requirements for:

  - sanitation and cleaning

  - waste sorting

  - safety and accessibility

  - rescue and medical services

  - providing tourist information

  — recreational infrastructure

Certification is trust and prestige

According to Miguel Mirones , the Q sign is:

"an instrument of tourist reputation, confirmation that beach services meet international standards, and an important factor of trust for both tourists and public structures."

The Q flag at Postiguet Beach has been flying continuously since 2021 , confirming the high quality of beach management and visitor satisfaction.
