🎬 MasterChef in Alicante: TV show celebrates gastronomy in the capital of taste 2025

🍽 Alicante in the spotlight of MasterChef

Alicante , June 13, 2025 – The city officially named Spain's Gastronomic Capital 2025 has become the filming location for one of the most anticipated episodes of the popular cooking show MasterChef . The episode, filmed in March off the coast of El Postiguet beach , will be broadcast on Monday, June 16 on RTVE .

🌟 Gastronomic challenge from the star jury

The show's jury , made up of famous chefs Samantha Vallejo-Nájera , Pepe Rodríguez and Jordi Cruz , along with the project's participants, came to Alicante to pay tribute to the local cuisine .

👉 As part of the external challenge, participants prepared a four-course menu created by star chef Joaquin Baeza ( 1 Michelin star holder ). The dinner was attended by 50 local residents and respected people of the region.

🛒 Local products, a sea of flavors and traditions

Before filming, the project team visited the Central Market of Alicante , where they became acquainted with the wealth of local products .

💬 “Walking through the streets of Alicante is a journey into a universe of flavors, where tradition and innovation meet true craftsmanship,” said Shine Iberia , the production company behind MasterChef.

Alicante is known as the "City of Rice" , but its culinary heritage includes:

  • 🍮 Unique desserts
  • 🍨 Rich ice cream culture
