The Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA) has launched the exhibition "Leather Revival. Design and the Circular Economy" , organised by the Product Design Department of the Alicante Higher School of Art and Design (EASDA) with the support of the shoe company Magnanni . The exhibition will be open until September 21 and includes the symposium "Art and Design in the Age of Ecological Transition" , which will take place on Tuesday, September 16 at 5:00 pm.
Design, ecology and creativity
The exhibition features the work of students who have transformed leather waste from the shoe industry into home items such as lamps, chairs and decorative elements.
The project clearly demonstrates the connection between design, industry and sustainable development .
Cultural Advisor Naima Beldjilali , who attended the opening, noted:
"I invite residents and visitors to visit MACA and see how young designers have turned waste into real works of art. This exhibition shows how the circular economy works in a visual and surprising way."
