
Impulsalicante's successes in 2024: supporting employment and developing entrepreneurship
Alicante, July 25, 2025. The local socio-economic development agency Impulsalicante , operating under the Alicante City Hall, has summed up the results of 2024. According to the approved annual report, 734 jobs were created during the year, including 595 through vacancies from employers and 139 through self-employment and starting your own business .
Impulsalicante has also created 138 new companies , and 14 start-ups have received support from the municipal business incubator Príncipe Felipe , which is now operating at full capacity.
💶 Budget and scope: almost 4 million euros for economic development
According to the financial report, the agency spent 80.75% of its allocated budget of €4.77 million , spending €3.85 million on employment, training and entrepreneurship support programmes.
👥 Help for almost 9,500 residents of Alicante
In 2024, 9,448 people used Impulsalicante services . Of these:
- 6382 received career counseling
- 3038 took part in training events
- 255 courses and master classes were conducted , with a total of 5083 hours of training.
- 581 people received advice on starting their own business
In addition, €347,000 in subsidies were allocated to organisations providing vocational guidance, training and employment promotion.

María del Carmen de España , responsible for employment and development at the Alicante City Hall, noted:
“Impulsalicante has been helping Alicante residents develop professionally, find work and start their own business for 25 years. It is not just a structure, but a driving force of the city’s economy.”
🤝 Employment Pact and New Strategies
Impulsalicante is an active participant in the Territorial Employment Pact signed by the City Hall, business associations (CEV, UEPAL) and trade unions (CC.OO., UGT), with the aim of creating jobs and sustainable development in Alicante.
The agency also runs the Future Employment Strategies Lab within the Pact Observatory , bringing together up to 150 organisations to develop new solutions for employment and economic growth.

In 2024, Impulsalicante confirmed its key role in shaping the economy and employment of Alicante. Hundreds of new jobs, dozens of new businesses and thousands involved in educational programs are evidence of an effective strategy for the development of the city.
