III Conference on Public Health in Alicante: Health Takes to the Streets of the City

📍 The square near the city hall and the Puerta Ferrisa center became the epicenter of events

Alicante , 4 June 2025 – The III Public Health Conference was held in the Town Hall Square and the Puerta Ferrisa Auditorium , organised by the Alicante-Sant Joan d'Alicante Health Department with the support of the Alicante City Council .

The event became a shining example of how to effectively bring medical knowledge and prevention closer to city residents . Mayor Luis Barcala personally visited the sites where the master classes were held and expressed gratitude to the organizers and medical specialists for the work done.

🩺 Healthcare on the streets: interactive, educational and caring

From 9:00 to 14:00 , Town Hall Square was transformed into an open medical zone , where residents could:

✅ Get individual consultations and take express tests

✅ Visit information stands

✅ Take part in practical seminars on:

  • 🍽️ Healthy eating
  • ❤️ Maintaining cardiovascular health
  • 🧯 First aid
  • 🏃 Formation of an active lifestyle

📌 The events were attended by about 50 medical specialists of different specialties from five health zones of Alicante .

🤝 The events took place with the active support of local associations and public organizations , as well as with the participation of the Alicante Blood Transfusion Center , which organized a mobile point for blood donors .

📚 Educational lectures in Puerta Ferrisa: family and community health

In parallel, informative presentations on key topics were held at the internal Puerta Ferrisa venue:
