🔥 Pirotecnia Hermanos Ferrández hit by 'double earthquake' in Luceros

🗓 Results of the sixth session of the 36th Masklet Competition

Alicante, 24 June 2025 – The Pirotecnia Hermanos Ferrández company from Beniel made the sixth session of the 36th edition of the Masquelet Competition a truly memorable event in the Plaza de los Luceros . 150 kg of NEC exploded in 6 minutes and 21 seconds , reaching a peak volume of 124.5 dB . The crowds were treated to innovative tritone whistles and two series of “earthquakes”, the pyrotechnics’ signature style.

🎇 Show structure and special effects

1. Opening : two digital mortero with a series of double effects - tritone whistles, buzzers, red-green streamers, swirls with "thunder".

2. Central part : six ground volleys combined with aerial effects - whistles with thunder, streamers and frames, increasing in intensity.

3. The first "earthquake" : a powerful blow, immediately followed by a digital aerial "bombardment" finale.

4. The second "earthquake" : an unexpected digital pickup, ending with a synchronized salvo of aerial fire.

Spectators noted that they had not seen such a powerful masklet in all 36 years of the competition.

👥 Public reaction

The audience of thousands in the Plaza de los Luceros chanted “¡Esto sí es una mascletà!”, and the city’s residents and visitors were once again convinced of the skill and originality of the pyrotechnicians from Beniel.
