Music tourism gains ground in Alicante
From July 12 to August 6, 2025, Alicante will host the Alma Festival for the first time, a musical event that has already established itself in Barcelona and Madrid. The festival will take place at the Multiespacio Rabasa and will offer residents and tourists dozens of concerts featuring Texas , UB40 , Kool & The Gang , Guitarricadelafuente , Molotov , Jethro Tull , Travis and Trueno .
Young artists from Alicante will perform alongside world stars
Each concert will feature performances by young and talented artists , including groups from Alicante: Nueve Desconocidos , La 126 , Otto , Viscopaf . This format gives a unique opportunity for aspiring musicians to introduce themselves to a wider audience .
Support from the City Hall of Alicante
Ana Poche , Tourism Advisor, noted that music tourism is one of the city's strategic development lines , which in 2024 attracted about 400,000 spectators and brought about 40 million euros to the city's economy. She also added that funding for music events has been increased by 50% , and the organization process has been simplified thanks to a "single window" for promoters.
Naima Beljilali , cultural adviser, stressed the importance of local groups' participation:
"This is an opportunity that cannot be overestimated. Alma Festival is becoming a showcase for young talents, and we, as an administration, will continue to support all cultural initiatives, especially those aimed at young people."
