Alicante allocates €450,000 to support social projects of non-profit organizations

The Municipality of Alicante, through the Department of Social Welfare, is launching a new subsidy programme for non-profit organisations implementing socially significant projects . The total budget of the initiative is 450,000 euros , which will support dozens of projects aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable groups.

🔹 "These subsidies allow us to support the work of organizations that help those who need help every day. This is an important addition to the municipal social protection policy," said Begonia León, head of the department.

Priority funding areas

Financial support will be provided in seven main areas :

1. Support for people with disabilities and dependent persons
2. Working with socially vulnerable groups and assistance in employment
3. Helping the homeless
4. Accompanying the elderly and organizing volunteer support
5. Support for families, children and adolescents, family mediation
6. Integration of people with addictions and their families
7. Gender equality, protection of women, prevention of violence, support for LGBTQ+

Conditions for receiving a subsidy

• Maximum amount of one subsidy: 15,000 euros
• Financing covers up to 80% of the project cost
• Organizations must:

  Have the status of a non-profit organization for at least 2 years

  Be registered in the Municipal Registry of Alicante for at least one year prior to submitting the application

Application deadlines

Applications can be submitted within 15 calendar days of the publication of the official announcement in the Provincial Bulletin (BOP) . Submissions are made through the electronic platform of the Alicante City Hall.
