Almost 700,000 LEDs are already lighting up the centre of Alicante with the festive illumination of the Hogueras
✨ The official switching on of the festive illumination took place at the City Council Square
Alicante, 5 June 2026 – The city centre is lit up with thousands of lights: almost 700,000 LED bulbs illuminate the streets of Alicante as part of the festive illuminations for the 2025 Hogueras de San Juan. The ceremonial switching on of the lights took place on Wednesday evening in the Plaza de la Cité , two days before the ceremonial prologue (Pregón) .
🌟 The main characters of the festival - the Queens of Fire (Belleas del Foc) , Adriana Vico (adult) and Valentina Tarraga (children), together with their Ladies of Honor , pressed the button, illuminating the streets of the city with bright light!
📍 Where are the festive lights already on?
The lighting design covers the key streets of the official Hogeras route :
- Ayuntamiento Square
- Altamira Street
- Jorge Juan Street
- Alfonso El Sabio Avenue
- Rambla Mendez Nuñez
🔌 In total , more than 150 light structures are used, including arches, decorative elements and spotlights - all this creates a fabulous atmosphere ✨

He was accompanied at the ceremony by Cristina Cutanda (Holidays Advisor) and Cristina García (Infrastructure Advisor), as well as representatives of the Alicante Municipal Council .
