🌼 City in flowers: Belleas del Foc welcome guests
The Department of Parks and Gardens of the City Hall of Alicante, together with the STV Gestión 'Brota Alicante' service, have once again installed the colourful figures of flowers - Belleas del Foc 👸🏼🌸, symbolising the Festival of Lights:
- 🌷 The first pair of figures are located on Avenida Estación , greeting everyone who arrives in the city through the Renfe station 🚉
- 🌺 The second pair decorates the entrance to the Esplanade from the Plaza Canalejas , one of the most popular walking routes in the city 🌴
🏛️ Town Hall Decoration: Waiting for the Official Bonfire
✨ The floral decoration of the arches and columns of the City Hall building , which will become the central point of the celebration in the coming days, has also been completed – this is where the Official Hoguera (Hoguera Oficial) will be installed.
🗣️ Manuel Villar , Environmental Advisor, noted:
“We take care of Alicante’s green spaces all year round, but it is on these days that we particularly want to highlight the work of our professionals, through a unique design in the spirit of Alicante, with images of Bellea del Foc.”
👗 Design with a history: floral skirts inspired by traditional costumes
The floral arrangements are inspired by the original fabrics used to sew outfits for adult and children's Belleas , the representatives of the Festival of Lights:
- 🌿 The Esplanade features figures with skirts in green and aquamarine tones, made from boxwood leaves (boj)
- 💙 At the station - skirts in blue and black colors, corresponding to the Belleas costumes
💐 The selected floral species are weather-resistant to maintain their brightness and shape throughout the holidays.

The tradition of taking photos with the flower Belleas has become an integral part of the holiday. Guests and residents of the city have already started filling social networks with bright shots from the center of Alicante - do not miss the chance to capture your moment! 📷✨
