Alicante, June 11, 2025 – The photography competition “Alicante Capital Española de la Gastronomía” is officially over and the winners have been announced! 📷🍽️
🏆 Contest winners:
The jury, consisting of specialists from the Patronat for Tourism and representatives of the gastronomic and cultural industries , selected the top three:
🥇 @oscarcerdachef — 1st place: Close-up of a delicious arroz (rice dish)
🥈 @dulcesfrivolidades — 2nd place: aesthetic presentation of pulpo (octopus)
🥉 @vigziu — 3rd place: a girl against the backdrop of the sea, ready to enjoy arroz
📱 How did the competition go?
📅 From May 19 to June 2, anyone could take part by posting a photo of a traditional dish or product of Alicante on Instagram with the hashtag #SaborAlicante and tagging the account @alicante_city .
📈 Dozens of applications were received, reflecting the richness and diversity of Alicante's gastronomy .

The jury assessed:
- 🎨 Creativity
- 📷 Quality of visual execution
- 🍴 Authenticity of Alicante gastronomy presentation
- 💙 Emotional connection with the cultural identity of the region
🎁 Prizes for the winners
🥇 1st place — dinner for two in one of the best restaurants in the city + signature set “Esencia Alicante – Plus Size”
🥈 and 🥉 2nd and 3rd place - a gift set with official merchandise
