Alicante lights up the party: Lights 2025 starts with 680,000 LED lights
🌟 The city will be painted in light: the start is this Wednesday
📍 Alicante, June 3, 2025 - The city is preparing for the most colorful event of the year! This Wednesday, the official switching on of the festive illuminations in honor of the Festival of Lights (Hogueras 2025) will take place.
✨ This year, the streets will shine thanks to 678,335 LED lights decorating the official route of the festival :
Avenida Alfonso El Sabio
Ramblo de Mendes Nunez
Streets of Altamira - Jorge Juan
And, of course, the City Hall Square
💡 More than 150 light structures will decorate the center of Alicante
🎇 Lighting will include arches, decorative installations and spotlights , creating a unique festive atmosphere.
📆 Illumination mode:
🕘 From June 5 to June 14 — from 21:00 to 02:00
🌙 From June 15 to June 24 - until 05:00 am
🎉 From June 25 to July 1 - again until 02:00
👑 The official switching on of the lights will take place at 9:30 pm in the Town Hall Square , with the participation of the Belleas del Foch - adult and child representatives, Adriana Vico and Valentina Tarraga , as well as the mayor Luis Barcala and representatives of the festive organizations.
🎭 Festive weekend: from Pegon to fireworks
🔥 As early as Friday, June 6 , a series of events will begin to create anticipation for the main days of Lights . The program covers the Plaza de España , the Plaza de la Rathaus and the Ocean Race port area .

🎶 18:30 — “Music for the Holiday”, Plaza de España
🕯️ 19:00 — Ceremony in memory of the deceased Foguerer and Barraquer
🥁 19:30 — Pegon Parade (from Plaza de España to the Town Hall)
📣 21:00 — Pegon : Alicante fashion designer Ruben Hernandez will give a speech
🎉 23:00 — Pegon's Party , Ocean Race Zone
🎆 00:00 — Fireworks in the port
👘 Saturday and Sunday: parades and fireworks
🗓️ Saturday, June 7 – the city will be enlivened by the Ninot Parade (Desfile del Ninot) :
📍 19:00 - starts from Plaza Luceros , the route will pass through Alfonso El Sabio , Rambla , Altamira and finish at the Town Hall .
💥 Sunday, June 8th is the culmination of the weekend:
🧨 14:00 — Mascletà by Turis pyrotechnics, as part of the “Pólvora tot l'any” cycle, near the Puerta de Alicante shopping center .
